Minor in Humanities
The Humanities minor is an interdisciplinary program dedicated to the study of arts and ideas in their cultural contexts.
Program Learning Outcomes
- Place an expressive work in its cultural context through close reading of its formal details.
- Articulate differences, similarities, and relationships represented by cultural works across geographical region, historical moment, or expressive form.
Humanities Minor — 15 units
- All coursework used to satisfy the requirements of the minor must be completed with a minimum grade point average of 2.0.
- Humanities minors cannot choose CR/NC grading in more than one course in their minor.
- At least 12 units must be upper-division (300 and above), and at least 6 units taken at SF State.
